To Start Off

Four score and seven days ago, we emerged into the 21st century and found everyone blogging. We felt left out. It was time to catch up.

"We have ideas, too. And everyone ought to hear them."

Vegan desserts are good. Think about the beautiful simplicity. Milk, eggs, butter--all replaced by sugar and flour. Not enough people appreciate them.

This is one issue which we agree on, but there are many where our opinions differ.

The Vegan Dessert is conceived in variety, and dedicated to the proposition that all ideas are created equal. From music to malacology, politics to humor (where they don't already meet), Minnesota to Massachusetts (and Connecticut on the side), this blog aspires to cover the world.

We are here at Amherst College for the summer as science research fellows. One of us studies paleontology, the other atmospheric chemistry. This is our downtime. Or rather, the research is our downtime, the blog is our job.

From our ideas, we hope to spark dialogue amongst you. Commenting should be an active forum for discussion.

Enjoy.
